Connectivity
- Peanet is connected to the Internet by way of multiple fiber optic OC12's. Peanet's customer benefit from the near 300 private peering arrangements with most every major player on the net today. Backbone performance is monitored and IP traffic is automatically sent down the shortest path using the Cisco
BGP4 protocol.
Backup Power
- 2 2.4 megawatt backup generators. Each can power entire facility on full load. Fuel supply is 1 week, with arrangements to receive regular deliveries in an emergency.
- The entire facility runs on battery full-time. Should outside power be cut, the inside of the facility is unaffected, without so much as a millisecond hiccup switching to backup power. Generators kick in after 2 hours of no power from the street.

- Hot-Swap hard drive system for the utmost speed and reliability. Sure, it costs us a bit more than tape, but your data is worth it.
